National Teacher of the Year Visits Dickinson
Sarah Brown Wessling and Delaware Governor Jack Markell Address Red Clay Staff


As part of the district's welcome back festivities, Dickinson hosted an address by National Teacher of the Year Sarah Brown Wessling and Governor Jack Markell. The Tuesday morning ceremony included nearly all personnel working in Red Clay.

Wessling, who recently visited the White House to receive her distinction, is a high school English teacher in Johnston, Iowa where she has taught 10th through 12th graders for the past decade.

Markell is a first-term governor and former State Treasurer.
